digital ads, we can design an ad for you, at no additional charge.

Guide accepts ads via e-mail. Please call (800) 997-6602 for instructions.

Providing an ad on disc
Artwork for
The Newcomer's Guide is created on a Macintosh computer. Files from a PC can
be used if prepared in a compatible format.
Note that home
computer programs do not work. If an ad is created in such a program, send a
good, clean black-and-white laser or ink-jet copy that can be scanned or
photographically placed.
The
Newcomer's Guide is created in Pagemaker 6.5. If you create your ad in
another program, such as QuarkXpress, Illustrator, Freehand, Photoshop, please
save the file as an EPS, Tiff file that can be placed in Pagemaker (or any other
format that works with Pagemaker).
Please
include:

EPS, Tiff or
etc. to be placed in Pagemaker

Original file
in the program you used

All typefaces
used (include any dingbats or special characters)

Scans (logos,
photos, etc.)

A laser copy
so we know what to look for
If you prefer,
you can take your file to a local service bureau and have a film made at 133
line screen and send it to us with a laser or ink-jet copy for our records.

requirements
Advertiser assumes full liability for all content including text and
illustrations of advertisements printed, assumes full responsibility for any
claims made against the publisher, and agrees to pay the
publisher for any expense or loss suffered by reason of such claims. All copy
subject to publisher's approval. The publisher reserves the right to refuse any
advertisement.

Changes and
Cancellations
All changes
and cancellations must be made in writing and confirmed by the publisher. No
cancellations accepted after closing dates.

Ad duration
Ad contract is
the 12-month period from and including the issue in which an advertiser's first
ad appears.
